I have sent the following email to twice over the last
week (8 days ago & 4 days ago) and have not received a reply either time

I had been hearing good things about the company as was surpised not to get
a response.

Perhaps someone here can answer help.

Thanks
----------------------------

Good Morning,

Hope I have the correct email address for pre-sales questions.

I currently am running SBS 2003 Premium Edition.

I want to move to a new server running SBS 2008 Standard Edition.

I am going from premium to standard because I don't use any SQL server
applications and I can live without ISA server.

Q1) Will your swing migration kit work in my case ?
Q2) I intend to install during our Christmas closedown (Dec 28 - Dec 31),
will support be available during this period ?

Thanks & regards

Tony C

Hello Tony,

I'm sorry if you attempted to reach me by email and didn't get a response,
this unfortunately is the nature of spam management services making it
difficult to ensure one never misses an unsolicited email. I don't have any
emails awaiting a response, most all responses I send out within a few hours
of the business day I receive them and I do respond to emails 7 days a week.

As an option I'd like to suggest you can contact me via the Feedback page
link below, this provides a private way to both ask any questions and
communicate your email address to me to go find your emails in a spam trap.

To answer your questions below, yes you can do a Swing Migration from SBS
2003 Premium to SBS 2008 Standard, and eliminating the ISA operations is
something I can guide you through (this topic is discussed in the Kit). The
Swing Migration process actually allows you to do any project between any
platform type or version release all all products SBS or non-SBS, so it's a
universal approach. You get the benefit of building the new server without
modification to the existing operations or server during your construction,
the original server remains intact. You can test your new server
configuration including the entire data migration all on a bench without
working in your production domain operations or interupting normal business.

The benefits of this parallel construction with "nothing to undo" in your
production domain allows you to also build and test the machine in advance
of your deployment date. Therefore, what would be typical is that you can do
all of the construction and testing work well in advance, and then the data
transfer where you likely want to have the business offline for convenience
is the only thing you need to accomplish in your transition days. That being
the case, if you plan to do this work between Dec 28 -31 you will likely
finish the first day and have the balance of your holiday to yourself with
the new server already online. Swing Migration provides you the opportunity
to do the construction work during normal business hours, so that your
weekend and holiday work is either eliminated or as convenient and brief as
possible.

I will be providing my standard end-to-end project support during the the
Dec 18-31 period you mention. SBSmigration.com provides standard webmail
support 365 days a year with normal support levels on business days and best
effort support for weekends and holidays.

Please feel free to either follow-up with any questions here or directly
with me. Don't forget, since I apparently didn't receive your earlier
emails, use the Feedback page to submit your email address so I can
whitelist you for further emails regardless.

Happy Thanksgiving!
