Hello, I do not know how to switch while typing from English to Spanish using
Vista Home Premium. In XP I used to SHIFT+ ALT and presto. How do you switch
languages using Vista? Thank you

Hi Northpark,

First, you need to install a Spanish keyboard, and turn on the key combo to
switch.

Go to Control Panel, Clock Language and Region.

Then click on "Change Keyboard or other Input method". The Regional and
Language Options dialogue will appear.

Click on the Keyboards and Languages tab. The Text Services and Input
Languages dialogue will appear.

Under Installed Services, press the Add button, and select an appropriate
Spanish keyboard (eg Spain, Mexico, US etc).

Press Ok to add the selected Keyboard.

Now click the Advanced Key Settings tab, of the Text Services and Input
Languages dialogue. Select a key combination, to alternate between English
and Spanish keyboards (Left-Alt, Shift, by default)

Press Ok to accept changes and dismiss the dialogue.

Your Spanish keyboard should now be ready to use, once you press the
Alt-Shift combo.

Hope it helps,

Suddenly the "OK" button worked. I don't know why. Message is to keep trying options when something doesn't work.

P.S. Please excuse the redundant text above. This is my first post ever,
still learning my way around.
