Is there some way to switch Wifi band ( 802.11a , 802.11b, 802.11g , 802.11n
) ?

Those aren't distinct bands. They're different protocols.

A driver can choose the band, and usually does so based upon the SSID you
pick, but there's no API to switch on the fly. What would be the point?
