switching users problem

Hi,
I am using Windows XP home on a dell laptop. Just did a reinstall of the os
and all updates. Now when I am logged into my account and want to switch to
another user, not log off, just switch. I click the other user icon at the
user selection, log in window and it doesn't do anything. It looks like it
wants to log in but just flips back to the log in user screen. I have scanned
for virus and malware nothing found.

Start > Run and type services.msc > OK.

Check that the Terminal Services and Fast User Switching Compatibility
Services are started.
