Sync 1 PPC with 2 PC's

Hello, I'm having a lot of trouble trying to sync with
both my work and home PC's.

I need to sync at least (WORK = email, calendar, contacts,
files) (Home = calendar, contacts, files).

If I tell Activesync that I'm using 2 PC's it says that it
can't sync email?

Is there another way to work around this?

I have tried MultiPartnership sync (available at
www.thaipocketpc.net ), but this has caused the problem
that the first PC I sync'd with works fine, but the second
always brings up the new partnership wizard - not much use.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am using a HTC Himalaya type POCKET PC - branded as
Orange SPV M1000, running Windows Mobile 2003 Phone
edition. I have Activesync 3.7.1 installed, with Outlook
2002 on my work PC and Outlook 2003 on my home PC.

Thanks
Mark

Hi Mark,

ActiveSync will allow you to have two partnerships (Work + Home). The only
limitation is that you will not be able to synchronize the Inbox of both the
computers. You will need to uncheck the Inbox information type while
setting up the second partnership or else it will display the dialog box
about it beng unable to sync mail. Additionally Inbox will appear grayed
out with a message "Attention Required" in the status window.

If you have already setup the second partnership, goto Tools ->Options and
uncheck Inbox to avoid seeing the grayed out message.

I tried following the instructions but on the second PC
it tries to SYNC and then comes back with Microsoft
Office is no longer installed so Activesync cannot
continue to run.........

Any hints?

I must say I have had nothing but problems with
Activesync since my work migrated to Office 2003 no
matter what I seem to do there is always an issue.

Hi Steve,

Try to run Detect & Repair under the Help menu in Outlook 2003. If that
doesn't help, uninstall ActiveSync 3.7.1, reboot and then install it again.
