Sync button doesn't do anything....

Hi,

I've recently switched from OE on XP to Windows Live Mail on Windows 7, and
am struggling a lot with configuring WLM to work the same way the OE did.

I've imported all my accounts and settings, however, the one thing that I
just can't seem to get to work properly is the Sync button functionality.
All my accounts are IMAP accounts, and I have disabled the "Send messages
immediately" feature.

When I compose a new email, I see it in the Outbox. However, when I click
on the Sync button in the toolbar, nothing happens. The activity window
shows no Tasks to perform, and the email just keeps sitting in the Outbox.
If I click on Sync All Email Accounts (F5), same thing happens. The only
way I actually get the email sent is if I click on Sync and then specify the
exact email account from which the email was composed. The exact same
process happens for newsgroups as well.

But that is a royal pain since I compose emails from several different
accounts, and don't want to go through each one at a time.

I'm assuming there must be some config that I have wrong, but don't know
what / where to change. In OE, it was fairly simple - Send and Receive
allowed me to Send and/or Receive everything in one shot. WLM seems to be
making it a lot harder.

Can anyone point me in the right direction as to how to resolve this issue?

Thanks,

Eric

I don't use IMAP or have an IMAP account setup, but other accounts(Pop3 and Http) have setting on the account's properties General
Tab(Include this account when sending or receiving mail). Is it present and checked ?

You might check that the
'Include this account when receiving mail or synchronizing' is checked. If
it is already set try clearing it from all accounts, restarting and then
setting it back.
