I just loaded XP pro on my home computer and had to resinstall Outlook 2002
and Activesync 3.7. Now, everytime I try to sync up, my clock on my handheld
changed by 2 hours (ie. from 2:00pm to 4:00 pm), and its messing up all my
appointment times by 2 hours. Does anyone have a solution for this
problem??? I've already tried reinstalling activesync, but it didn't make
any difference. Please help if you can. Thanks!

Dear Sooner,
I have a sudden (as in just happened yesterday, after loading Pocket
Informant 2005) one-hour difference, and I've tried all the stuff in this
link. Nothing works. I'm 2 hours ahead of GMT. I've tried unsynching PC
and PDA from any internt time connection, I've tried re-setting each of them
to different time zones eg Bucharest, Cairo, all with and without DST, and
appointments still apear an hour ahead on my PDA compared to the right time
on the PC. Any advice?

Maybe Pocket Informant is the problem. I don't use it but does it have any
configurables? You could also try uninstalling to see if that corrects the
problem...

Thanks Al,
I had tried uninstalling and re-installing most of the software on my Pocket
PC and even going back to a saved state when the problem wasn't there, but
with no luck. I have achieved a workaround (unsatisfactory) by doing the
Auto Adjust to DST on PC and Outlook, setting both machines to the same time
zone and manually adjusting the PC clock to the correct time. This does
allow me to at least enter appointemtns in either and see them come up on the
other at the same hour, but on the PC all my earlier appointments are now out
by an hour, and all my all-day appointments run over two days.... Hell's
Bells.

Thanks all,
Yes both bits of kit are on the same time zonePC, Outlook and Pocket PC all.
Al, I'm working in Damascus currently, which is two hours ahead of GMT.
I've set times for everything based on Bucharest (GMT+2) with DST enabled,
because as I say that gets things aligned, but it obviously isn't what my PC
was working on before.
