Thanks for your help.
Restating:
1. No sync back over network means that I cannot sync via the wireless
network connection from phone to the laptop. It must be by bluetooth or
usb.
2. A local bluetooth sync can't be done by setting a sync period. This
means that I cannot have it sync on 'bluetooth connect' automatically, and
then say every 30 minutes? I have to initiate each sync (over bluetooth
say) manually.
Question:
Since the phone can be a broadband modem for the laptop, can't I first sync
the laptop to Exchange Server via our vpn? If so, then I can then local
bluetooth sync the phone and save the data package fee.
That assumes the broadband modem doesn't require a data package plan. When
buying, I was told that only high bandwidth use required a plan.
