......yes I know it doesn't, that is why I am here.

I have a couple of sensitive Word documents on my Notebook in the sync
folder. These files are adequately protected in the PDA as it is one with
Finger print recognition.

The problem is on the Notebook. The files are totally open to scrutiny when
my notebook is on and I would like to protect them with a password. but then
the Sync software doesn't sync password protected files.

Is there a work around for this problem. I don't need software for the
notebook nor do I need software for the PDA. I just want to be able to sync
password protected files.

Thanx,
jb

Unprotect the file on your ppc, sync, re-protect.

Have you tried manually copying the files rather than through activesync?
