Sync status is on the device

One more time for me (I'm an idiot!). I ran the Detect and Repair in
Outlook and reinstalled Active Sync 3.7.1 (or whatever the latest on MS
website is). I connected the Pocket PC to the desktop, and it began to
sync. It synchronized the "Tasks" and the "Notes", but the Calendar,
Contacts, and Inbox still have the status of: Sync status is on the device.
What does that mean? Why will it not sync with my appointments that I've
got stored in the Outlook calendar. I've got some appointments stored on
the Pocket PC that didn't leave either. (I don't care about the Inbox, I
would like to get the Calendar working. That's what I bought it for...)

Help!!!!

Try running Help -> Detect and Repair in Outlook, then reinstall
ActiveSync.

Reading messages on this newsgroup let me know I am not
alone, it seems we all have the same problem:
activesync doesn't want to sync outlook contacts or
calendar...
nobody can answer, I think Microsoft must...

Hi Chris,

Check the settings chosen in ActiveSync for the device --

1. Connect your device to the computer.
2. Open Activesync on the computer.
3. Go to Tools -> Options -> Sync Options.
4. At the bottom of "Sync Options" page there is a check box "Enable
synchronization with a server"... uncheck this option and then configure
Activesync again with the items you wish to synchronize.
