Synchronization problems

Hi all,

I have the following problem:

I have reinstalled my computer - I have installed Windows Server 2003
instead of previous Windows XP. I have installed Office 2003 and ActiveSync
3.7.1. Unfortunatelly, since the reinstallation I cannot synchronize with my
Motorola Mpx 200 (on windows XP everything was OK). I have all patches and
service packs on windows and office. I always receive the message:

"Synchronization cannot start because this desktop computer cannot access
necessary information. Restart this desktop computer and synchronize again.
If the problem persists and this desktop computer is running Microsoft
Outlook 2000, open Outlook 2000, click Help, and then click Detect and
Repair. Otherwise, contact your network administrator."

I have tried probably everything:
- create new profile
- run "Detect and Repair"
- reinstalled ActiveSync
- tried to connect to another computer running windows XP (work fine) and to
this computer again...

Can anybody help me?

Thanks a lot

Best regards

Jiri Brazda

Hi,
Were you logged in as a local Administrator account when you performed the
Detect & Repair?

Hi,
Officially Microsoft does not support using ActiveSync on any version of
Windows Server including Windows Server 2003.
