XP SP3 /Office 2003 SP3/ ActiveSync 4.5 / WM5

Had no troubles sync (2 unit of PPC PE) with Outlook & Money2006 for the
pass many years, but not now, kids download and installed Visual Studio /
SQL Server express and was hot at those stuffs for the past few days, and
now I just found out can't do a proper sync on
Contacts/Calendar/Tasks/MsMoney, once connected and pass "Looking for
Changes", AS will loop at last items showing SYNC'ING forever; when press
stop, it stuck at STOPPING; I still able to Explore and x'fer files both
way, with no file conversion take place; I also able to access Web and POP
mail account via AS; I had tried delete partnership on both PC&PPC,
changing USB ports etc. don't seem to make any progress.

Thanks.

Hi,

Have you tried reinstalling ActiveSync? If that doesn't help, would suggest
you to run scanpst. You may refer -

Thanks. Did the .pst scan, no improvements.

Yes, I did reinstalled ActiveSync.

Some other details: With a fresh partnership, check only one item (Calendar)
once connection established ((this is the only time I can select sync items,
once pass this point, TOOL/OPTION will not be avail)), after which, the AS
main windows show SYNC'ing, one item (Calendar) show under Information
Type with blank Status, and this go on forever.

Add to the post above.

- With MsMoney listed, I got "Looking for changes" forever
- As a Guest partnership, I got a normal "Connected" and seem to work w/o
problems.

Apparently something stop me from accessing to both PST and Money data file
via PPC/ASync.

Hope to hear from anyone to have this problems corrected.

Thanks.

Hi,

Have you checked your firewall settings to see if anything has changed in
there?
