Syncing contacts with dates

Hi,

I'm syncing my pocket pc with two computers: a desktop with Outlook 2003
(Dutch version) and a laptop with Outlook 97 (English version). Syncing with
the desktop goes OK, but when syncing with the laptop I always get
unresolved items: contacts of which birthday or anniversary are filled in.
The syncing continues endlessly trying to resolve the problems.
This gives me in my calendar over 20 times the birthday of that person
(which I have to remove afterwards both on my laptop and on my pocket pc).
When trying to fill in a birthday in Outlook 97 I get a frmcache.dat file
error. After removing this file, the problem is solved, but only for one
syncing session.

Any ideas what the real problem is? I now have removed all birthday and
anniversary dates from my contacts, but I'd like to get them back.

Hi Chris,

Although I can't verify the scenario you are facing, the last ActiveSync
version that officially supported Outlook 97 was 3.1. Outlook 2003 was
supported by ActiveSync 3.7 onwards. Therefore this might be an issue of
incompatibility. For information about version history -

OK thanks, Raj. An upgrade to a higher MS Office version is planned at the
end of August. I'll wait until then. Thanks for the info.
