I am currently running Exchange 2003 SP2 on a Win 2003 server and recently
acquired a Palm Treo700w running Windows Mobile 5.0.
I was wondering if it's possible in OMA (Outlook Mobile Access) on the Treo
to view email in "virtual folders" as I do while in Outlook 2003 on my
desktop (for example, ALL UNREAD email).
I've found that Windows Mobile 5.0 works very well when I select multiple
email folders for synchronization (that is, folders other than my inbox).
The problem is, since using Outlook 2003 on my desktop, I've become accustom
to using virtual folders to view all "UNREAD" or "FOR FOLLOW UP" emails and
have rules in Outlook that move emails to folders other than my inbox.
Therefore, while viewing emails in the "Inbox folder" via Outlook Mobile, I
may not realize that new email have been delivered to other folders. (To be
specific, while on the Treo, I’d have to switch from my inbox to the “John”
email folder in order to see if any new emails have been delivered from my
college
)
I hope I’ve been clear… as doing so can be a bit tricky when writing about
Outlook 2003 and Outlook Mobile
Any assistance by either re-configuring Windows Mobile 5.0 or by using known
3rd party software to find a solution would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Rob
