Sysprep and SP2

I have 4 computers at I am using for testing and all of them show the
problem described below. The only thing that is different about my install
is that they have all been syspreped before I installed SP2. Are there any
known problems with sysprep and SP2?

My Pre service pack 2 installation was a fresh install with SP1 + all pre
SP2 updates. I also installed Office 2003 AutoCAD 2005 and a couple of HP
printers. We use Norton Ghost so the install was syspreped and installed on
a different PC before installing SP2.
Hardware is a Dell 4500 with NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 420 and Intel Pro 100M Nic
The rest is basic setup.

After installing SP2 I get hundreds of the little installing hardware icons
in the system tray all along the bottom of the screen. Eventually they all
disappear like the system finished installing all of the hardware. When I
went into the device manager I saw 4 devices under the ?Other devices. Since
everything was installed as far as I could tell I removed all 4 of them and
rebooted. I still get the hundreds of installing hardware icons but the 4 ?
devices never showed up again.

Any ideas what might be causing this?

Thanks in advance.

Steve
