System Alert Sounds

After installing Windows Vista RC1, I get loud beeping sounds whenever alert
windows pop up, like if a dll doesn't load, or if an error occurs. I've
turned the volume settings to zero, then muted the laptop, then went into
control panels and then sounds, and set the sound scheme to no sounds. So
its still beeps when alert windows or anything else happenns, is there
anything I can do to turn it off? its annoying everyone around me.

Was posting this three times neccesary?

Every time I tried posting this, I got an error messaging saying it wasn't
posted, so I tried a couple more times, then just gave up. Sorry about the
triple post. I dunno how to delete them, so there's nothing I think I can
do...
