System Event ID 2510

I just picked up a new client that is running Small Business Server 2003 and
have discovered an annoying error message in the System Event Log that is
posted every 30 seconds. The source is listed as the server name with no
category. It is event ID 2510 and includes the following text ...

The server service was unable to map error code 3007

The server is up-to-date with all MS Updates and all services are running as
they should. I have searched Technet for any information but nothing that
lists that error code. Other 2510 IDs are listed, but with different error
codes.

The only thing I've been able to find with that error code is for SMS, which
is not present on the system.

I work with several SBS 2003 servers but have never seen this one. Any ideas?

Any use?:
http://www.eventid.net/display.asp?e...Server&phase=1

- 3007 = "The specified print monitor does not have the required
functions." - From a newsgroup post "This indicates that something is
wrong with a printer or a print monitor on the server. We need to look
at the printers that are installed on the server."

Bookmark eventid.net - it's a great resource and almost always gives you
the answer for these annoying things!

James

Thank you! I checked the server and, sure enough, there was an old,
no-longer-in-existence, printer installed on the server. Once I deleted it,
the error messages stopped. I installed a current known printer and all is
right with the world.

Thanks for the tip about the eventid website. I have dutifully bookmarked
it for future use.
