I'm running win98se and Roxio 5.0 with the 5.3.5.10 upgrade. From what I
read, I guess my problem could have started after one of the Microsoft
Security updates or Norton Internet Security 5.0 because I hadn't made any
other changes to my system before. When I use DiscCopy I have problems. At
first I was worried the burn was unsuccessful. Then I realized that the burn
completed ok but when ECDC calls up the Label Creator, that's where the
system hangs up completely. Before the upgrade to 5.35, the label creator
would beep and give some sort of error & not open automatically after the
burn so I would simply close it. After the upgrade the system hangs up
completely and only a reboot can be done. As stated, the burn is good but
it's obviouly very inconvienient to have to reboot to get my system back each
time I do a burn.
Maybe I'm wrong but if the problem occurs when calling the label creator,
**which I rarely use anyway, can I prevent the label creator from being
called up by making a change in some config or ini file somewhere - assuming
that's what's actually causing the problem? Maybe more importantly, does
anyone know if this is definitely caused by one of the mocrosoft updates? Any
help would be greatly appreciated.
