SYSTEM owns All Users Folder

I installed an Update from Adobe and they put the desktop shortcut in the All
Users folder. I want to delete it from there but do not have rights, even
when I sign on with my user account that has "full" admin rights. This user
can delete the shortcut from his own desktop, but "regular" users accounts
can't do this. I tried to take ownership of the folder but was not able to.
1] What is the user SYSTEM, and can I log on as such?
2] How do I get update rights to this folder so I can remove the shortcut
to Adobe?
3] What makes Adobe think anyone needs a shortcut to Reader on their desktop?
Thanks,

Delete the icon from:
C:\Users\Default\Desktop

Use the "Ratings" feature. It helps the new users.

Only the statement "This folder is empty" appears in the folder.
