SYSTEM REFUSES TO INSTALL ANYTHING; INSISTS ON REBOOTING!!!

the system refuses to install any windows update or any other software from
the net. the system downloads the update but the moment it starts installing,
the system reboots.
this problem occurs everytime i try to update.
