System restore already running

I have had my computer for about four weeks and attempted to do a restore. I
started system restore and nothing happened, I started it a few minutes later
and it says "system resore wizard is already running". I have looked in the
processes and saw system restore running after the first attempt. I cannot
find any answers to this issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

So, are you saying that you do NOT see that restore point available when you
try to do a system restore, (on the calendar presented to the restore user)
?

Start>Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore.

Is that how you got into it, to put the computer back to an earlier date?

And what do you mean by "started it"
What, exactly, did you do?

After you click on SR just give it 5-10 minutes and it will appear.

It is just very, very slow (even by Vista standards) to start.

Well one can't accuse Vista of being a fast operating system. :-)

Cheers.
