You can manually download various security updates and other software from
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads however if you do it this way you will
have to manually work out what you need to download yourself.
Alternatively, perform the first part of the windows update process which
will give you a list of updates you require. Then make a note of the
"KBxxxxx" code next to each update and google for that knowledgebase code.
One of the first items google will return is a link to the download for that
update on the Microsoft website.
