I believe I read every page of his site at least twice at this point.
I am further along with my problem now. I left the system properties->system
protection tab open overnight last night and this morning it finally did show
my drive with a checkbox on it instead of searching....
I unchecked the box next to my drive, it popped up a window that ask if I
want to turn system restore off, I answered yes. Its now sitting back on the
system protection tab with an hour glass. Hopefully not for another 8 hours.
So now I guess my question because what would cause it to take that long to
display the drives that are setup with system restore?
At this point if I am able to turn it off and install programs I will be
happy. But would like to know what the core issue is if possible.
So for now I'm just waiting to see if turning it off suceeds at some point.
