Windows Update (Install) and System Restore (Manual Checkpoint) can only be
achieved by doing an 'end process' on inetinfo.exe. Both of these processes
will 'hang' until inetinfo.exe is cleared. What does it do and is there a way
to correct this?

What error code?

Select, Start, Help and Support, Keep your Windows up- to-date with
Windows Update, Review your Update History and click on the Failed
Icon in the Status Column. What does it say?

Hope this helps.

Gerry, there were no error codes because the process simply 'hung' at the
install stage.
