Is that in the form of a Blue screen? like a STOP 0x0000000A error? If so,
there's a good explanation here:
http://technet2.microsoft.com/window....mspx?mfr=true
This page refers to Windows 2003 but it applies equally to Windows Vista.
Basically it means a kernel mode thread made an improper memroy access. It's
almost always a problem with a device driver. Hopefully the error message
will mention a specific driver file eg if Foobar.SYS, you need to go to the
maker of the Foobar device and get an updated device driver for Windows.
If you can tell us more about what appears in the error, we may be able to
give extra pointers.
