Hi,
Does anyone know if they system tray icon (the green man - when online) has
the ability to change when I have email messages?
It would be nice if there was an update or selection that changed the icon
when mail was in my inbox

Cheers,

There is no change in icon, but that is an excellent suggestion

You can download "Live Mail Desktop". It works with WLM and changes it's
tray icon if you have new messages.

I do see it is hard to change the signed in icon when a message is received,
because it is loaded when windows starts.

I already get a sound and small pop-ups when mail is received, could this
not be extended to changing the icon in the quick launch tool bar which is
accessible after Window is loaded?

A good tip. I have given Live Mail Desktop a try and found it very
interesting. In many ways it seems like a neater version of Outlook 2007,
particularly in its capability to collect mail from news groups in Outlook
Express. However and while it works fine with my POP accounts and Hotmail
it will not collect mail from my MSN account, whereas Outlook can do this
without problems.
So as it is Beta software will just wait awhile and then try it again.

Thank you for your help
