System tray icons

Occasionally, the system tray will not show the icons for some running
processes, so I have no way to get to those programs. It generally
clears up after rebooting, but it's been happening more often lately.
Any idea how to fix this? Thanks!

Right-click on the Taskbar and select Properties. Go to the
Notification Area. If there's a check in Hide inactive icons then
that's probably your problem. Un-check it and hit Apply.

In your menu, right-click on the program that you want>Send To> make a
desktop shortcut that you always have.

Thanks, but there's no checkmark in Hide Inactive Icons.

Thanks Mick. I already have desktop shortcuts set up, but I'd sure
like to keep the system tray icons visible...

I have this same issue and have "Hide inactive icons" unchecked. Some
program is clobbering the Taskbar icon(s) but can't determine which
one.

Hi Steve and Phisherman,

Since you already have the "Hide Inactive Icons" unchecked. You might
see if resetting the Notification icons will clear the problem.
