Tab equivalent to CTRL-N

Prior to IE7, I would often CTRL-N to open a new browser window which would
automatically be loaded with the current web page I was on, plus have all the
browsing history of my current session, so I could click the back button and
return to previous pages in this new instance of the browser.

Now with IE7 I can still use CTRL-N, but I'd rather open a new tab instead
of a whole new window. Would like to see a keyboard shortcut which could
open a new browser using the currently displayed page, and retain the
browsing history of that current session.
