Having problems with the Tab part. Missing after reinstalling twice?

Any toolbars running in IE? Google stuff? To be honest, it looks to me
like you've got other underlying issues anyway, and I'm not sure where to
start with fixing them.

Yes, you are right. The number of posts to this forum, when compared to the
number of downloads and installs that have occurred, is very telling - the
fact that there are not thousands, or tens of thousands, or hundreds of
thousands, or millions, of posts from people needing help, is a very good
indication for IE7.

You are deluded if you think like that. Compare the number of bugs
reported in the FINAL (yes FINAL) release of IE7 to ANY OTHER piece of
software you care to mention.
