Tab key stops tabbing

Hi,
I'm using vista every so often the tab key stops functioning. (E.g.
in excel when i hit tab it doesn't go to next cell, or in interent
explorer it doesn't tab). The key is still working as if I hit alt +
tab or windows key + tab it functions.

I think I must be hitting some key combination to switch of tabbing.

Any ideas?

I have the same problem. The tab key will stop working in any ope
application. When the TAB key is used in combination like CTRL+TAB o
ALT+TAB it will work.

I've tried to pin it down to open applications and I've tried replacin
keyboards but it doesn't appear to change the situation. Eventually th
single TAB key will work but for no apparent reason

The only thing I can find is it is Vista related. I do use a Microsof
Natural Wireless Keyboard WUR0385 as my primary keyboard. Could th
driver some how be locking the system from receiving the TAB key inpu
even if another wired keyboard was plugged in when the problem wa
occurring

I use firefox a lot. I'll look for a connection between firefox and the
TAB problem next time it happens.

Some times after I print the process x2jobtAO.exe appears to lock the
tab key. Killing the process in task manager will release the key and
everything works as expected. I have a Xerox printer and its a program
related to the print driver to track things like paper tray status and
ink levels.
