Tabbed chats and 'other' transports

I like WLM, and 8.1b looks really good,
but it's still missing two things that keep me going back to Gaim...

tabbed chats
On my laptop screen real-estate is a premium. Having 5 chats open takes a
lot of desktop, and makes finding the specific chat a pain. Having them
tabbed would reduce clutter and make the world a better place. Trillain
(yuck) and Gaim both have this

other transports - Yahoo is okay, but jabber would be excellent
Currently 95% of my contacts are in MSN. But there are a couple of people
who use GTalk and a couple of bots I use that communicate via Jabber. And we
won't talk about those Skype people
Having WLM open up at least a Jabber transport would be awesome. You've
shown you can do it with Yahoo....

Greetings,

Just to note if you're not aware, Messenger Plus (which doesn't work on 8.1 yet but will
shortly) does give you tabbed chats. The feature will come to Messenger, but not in the this
release.

If they opened up to Jabber I'd be really surprised.

I was using MessengerPlus (despite the dire spyware warnings on various
forums... I just click the "no thanks" option!) but it stopped working when I
installed 8.1b so I'm sulking
IMO letting MSN users talk to GTalk et al without loosing audience to the
rival clients would be smart... and enabling Jabber as a transport doesn't
square up as a direct Google challenge coz there's lots of Jabber solutions
out there (just so happens the G is probably the biggest driver these days)
