I want to try a tablet laptop. Since I do some traveling, I would like a
light yet weight heavy-duty computer. Naturally I want what everyone else
wants ... long battery life, good visibility, good speed, etc. the only
thing I really don't use it for is gaming.

Anyone have a strong tablet PC recommendation??

You can get any modestly priced tablet PC and buy an extra battery pack or
two. Most tablet PCs have good visibility and speed, especially since the
release of Vista.

This MVP site is by far the best for choosing a tablet:
The Tablet PC: http://thetabletpc.net/

Another great tablet MVP site for using the system.
Tablet PC Talk: http://www.tabletpctalk.com/

On the other hand, if you want MY opinion, there is only one tablet worth
carrying.
DRS ARMOR C12:

But then, few people ride off road biking trails with their computer

It depends on what you need in a tablet machine. I've owned or tried
tablets from HP, Toshiba, Lenovo/IBM, and Fujitsu. My fav is from Fujitsu:

If you can supply more details as to what you need/want or what purpose
you intend to use it for, then maybe we can give better feedback.
