I installed updates on 5 PC's and 2 servers today. Each computer needed 10
or 11 updates.

When I tried to updated the Tablet PC, the process when ok but the Windows
Update site said that my Tablet PC did not need any updates. I checked the
'installed updates' and the last entry was a week earlier.

Was their any updates for the Tablet PC today?

Thanks, Mike

Hi

I assume your computer runs Windows XP Tablet PC Edition. In that case
there is no difference from what updates was released for the "ordinary"
Windows XP version.

The following updates that was released today are relevant for your
Tablet PC computer (you will find download links to the updates in the
links below):

Vulnerability in Windows Could Allow Information Disclosure (888302)
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sec.../MS05-007.mspx

Vulnerability in Windows Shell Could Allow Remote Code Execution
(890047)
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sec.../MS05-008.mspx

Vulnerability in PNG Processing Could Allow Remote Code Execution

Vulnerability in Server Message Block Could Allow Remote Code Execution
(885250)
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sec.../ms05-011.mspx

Vulnerability in OLE and COM Could Allow Remote Code Execution
(873333)
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sec.../MS05-012.mspx

Vulnerability in the DHTML Editing Component ActiveX Control Could
Allow Remote Code Execution (891781)
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sec.../MS05-013.mspx

Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer (867282)

Vulnerability in Hyperlink Object Library Could Allow Remote Code
Execution (888113)
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sec.../MS05-015.mspx

In addition, if you have the .Net framework installed:

ASP.NET Path Validation Vulnerability (887219)
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sec.../MS05-004.mspx

In addition, if you have Office XP installed:

Vulnerability in Microsoft Office XP could allow Remote Code Execution

I have a similar problem with my Tablet PC. I have not received one single
update since I bought the tablet in December 2004 with SP2 pre-installed. I
have no option to choose to install any critical or optional updates.

My installation history is empty and there are no hidden updates to restore.
This is only happening on my Tablet PC. The rest of my machines with Windows
XP are fine and updating normally either manually or through automatic
updates.

I have checked the Microsoft KB and it's not a date and time setting
problem. It could be http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=kb;en-us;326253
because my 'NO LIABILITY' certificate is NOT ok, but there is no method on
how to resolve that.

Can somebody help please?
