Tabs missing in ADUC

I have installed Windows 7 pro on a new machine as an eventual replacement
for my current workstation. I then installed the Admin Pack on it so that I
could have Active Directory Users and Computers on it. When I open the
properties of a user in ADUC on this Windows 7 box, there are some tabs
missing, specifically the Terminal Services Profile, Environment, Sessions,
Dial-in, and Remote Control tabs. I don't necessarily care about some of
these, but I do need the Terminal Services Profile and the Environment tabs.

Does anyone know what I need to do to see these tabs in ADUC on this Windows
7 box? ADUC is connecting to the proper DC, and the workstation is a member
of the Domain. This is a native-mode Windows 2003 Active Directory forest
with a single Domain.

Thank you very much for your help with this.

Hello Logan,

Do you really installl the adminpak? The uninstall it(requirement for RSAT)
and use RSAT:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

Then open Control Panel, Programs and features, Turn windows features on
or off, check the tools you like under "Remote Server Administration Tools"

Best regards

Thank you very much for your reply.

I had actually installed the Remote Server Administration Tools for Windows
7 to which you referred; I just slipped back into calling it the admin pack
simply from long habit. I apologize for the confusion.

I had also turned on the AD features of the RSAT. However, based on your
post, I went back and turned on other features, including the Remote Desktop
Services Tools. I now have all the tabs I need. The only tabs I am missing
now are the Dial-in tab, which I do not need, and the Exchange tabs, which I
never use any more since we migrated to Exchange 2007 (I use only the
Exchange 2007 Management Console for managing Exchange user settings).

Thank you very much for your help. Your reply assured me that I had
installed all I needed and that I just needed to figure out what additional
items to turn on.

Hello Logan,

You're welcome. There is no Exchange 2000/2003 management console which you
can integrate into Windows 7.

Best regards
