when i open a tab my google is missing please help it is driving me nut

I dont know about that, but FI:
I've duisabled tabs ever since they became available in browsers, how is it
better than simply switching between open IE windows with Alt+Tab??
Also when you close a tabbed IE window the whole thing shuts down, that was
the reason I disabled them.
