Unless you are using Vista Business, or Ultimate, you do not yet own any
tools that can do a "Complete PC Backup" to DVD or another hard drive. Third
party tools like Acronis True Image can do that.

And if you restore your system, which has problems, then the problem will be
also restored.

Thanks a lot for reply to my queries,

I have no more experience on vista reinstallation as well as in technical
side as well. Hence I am enquiring the help from communities.

Now a days when I am going to internet , the explore is opend with some
malicious site which will be opend along with site. So I blocked this site
thru restricted site option. But then another malicious site will be opened
and make slow in my computer some time the machine will be restarted
automatcially. So I tried to remove this site information from registry if
any exist there. But I cannot find out from registry. When I am going to
internet always this type of site will come in first

So this problem started to happend before 4 months. So finally I decied to
reinstall the windows. But I donot know to reinstall the windows Vista . I
dont have any back up CD. All program stored in harddisk while I am
purchasing the machine.

So please I need ur advice to do the better way to find out a solution .

Hi,

You might see if you can remove that malware by using some free
programs e.g.

'www.malwarebytes' (http://www.malwarebytes). com

and Spybot from

'www.safer-networking' (http://www.safer-networking). org

then get some protection for your browsing using McAfee site advisor
'McAfee - Free Services'
(http://us.mcafee.com/root/catalog.asp?catid=free) and , if you like,
Yahoo toolbar with CA Antispy 'Yahoo! Toolbar - Find what you're
looking for wherever you are on the Web' (http://toolbar.yahoo.com/) -
run Antispy before you close your browser and it will try to kill any
nasties you have picked up.

Also get a decent resident antivirus/malware program like the free
Avast Home Edition from

'FREE antivirus software for Windows with anti-spyware - avast! Home
Edition' (http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html)

If you still need to reinstall Vista, you probably have some kind of
"recovery" program/partition on your machine - visit your manufacturers
website for how to use it. You will need to copy your own data to an
external media first- either just copy by hand to an external hard drive
or cd/dvd's, or use Windows Easy Transfer.

Hope it helps

The restore image, I take it, is stored on a hidden partition on your
computer? My first advice is to check your PC manual that will tell you how
to restore your PC back to factory conditions, i.e., like it was when you
first purchased it. Just make sure you backup and documents/files you have
created to a CD or DVD before re-installing because you will loose these.

But before you even start to re-install I suggest that you download an
application (free) called malwarebytes anti malware (www.malwarebytes.org)
Install it and run this program. This may be able to find the spyware
programs that are causing you problems. I also suggest that you run your
anti virus application to check for virus's.

My view is that that's a very poor choice. You should find out what's
causing the problem and fix it. Besides being lots of work, if you
reformat and reinstall without finding out what caused your problem,
you will very likely soon repeat the behavior that caused it, and
quickly find your back in exactly the same situation.

You can't do that, other than using a third-party utility to clone the
drive and restoring from that. However, that will put everything back
where it was, and not solve any problems.

If you want to reformat, you'll need to first back up any data files
you want to keep, then format and reinstall Windows, then restore your
backed-up data.
