That is 30 mins+ from the point in which I go to the site to the point in
which I can choose a update to install. This on a Cable Connecyion. This
in Windows 2000 Professional with IE 5.5 SP2. That is too long. Microsoft
please fix your update site.

There is nothing "wrong" with the Windows Update website. The problem is on
your end.

Kevin, are you a MS employee? If not, shut your pie-hole. This site doesn't
exist because MS can write perfect code! And yes, George, I am having
trouble with the Update site also.

No it isn't. Sorry to disappoint you. You know why? Because a dual PII I
have right on this network has no trouble at all with XP in it. The system
I'm talking about is a PI with 64MB of memory and Windows 2000 Professional
and IE 5.5SP2. The Windows Update site is broken for such a system.

There's more broken with that type of system than a web site...

Well let's put it this way the Update Site says it is capable for such a
system and it is. Trouble is it is not very speedy about it and it is not
the processor. The hang occurs with them not me. What my processor is
should in no way effect their ActiveX from doing its job in a timely manner.
