Task manager doesn't end tasks

Hi,
I'm using Vista Home Premium 32 Bit, sometimes my programs get stuck
(for example Icq or uTorrent), and when I try to end them using the task
manager, they just keep ignoring my efforts and stay there. There's no error
msg once I try to end them....

Please help.

Open Command Prompt
run "chkdsk C: /F" and answer "yes"-- AndreBlog:

hi,

Programs like UTorrent take a while for their tasks to end I have the same
problem also in vista.
I guess it's a compatability issue Try end tasking the program and waiting
it will end eventually, somehow I don't see what a check disk will
accomplish!

Thanks for the reply,

I also tried the TaskKill from the command promt and It didn't help.
Is there a task killer for Vista?
