task manager not working properly

when I use the ctrl alt delete all I get is the 1 window with no tabs to
choose the other functions of the task manager. The window I get only allows
me to "End - Switch Too - End Task". I am using xp with the updated sp2. This
has happened since the update.

Open Task Manager and double-click anywhere on the top Window border.
Somehow, you managed to convert Task Manager to run in "Tiny Footprint Mode".
