Hello Simplytuff,

Since it only started this a few days ago, doing a System Restore using
a restore point dated before this may fix it for you.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

In addition to System restore, I would open Command Prompt with
Administrative Privileges and type sfc /scannow

Click Start > type CMD right click it > click 'Run as Administrator.

In that case, you might run a "chkdsk /f /r" (no quotes) command to see
if it can fix and recover the corrupt files, then run the "sfc /scannow"
command again to if it can complete this time.

http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/67...sk-chkdsk.html

If not, then other than reinstalling Vista completely, you can do a
Repair (upgrade) install to try and fix the problem.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

1.In cmd.exe type:

FINDSTR /C:\"[SR]\" %WINDIR%\LOGS\CBS\CBS.LOG >SFCDETAILS.TXT
see more:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928228

and attache file sfcdetails.txt here

2.Check your system some viruses not exist->I recomend this tool
'Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool' (http://avptool.virusinfo.info/en/)

scan computer and let inform us results
