Task Manager Windows Menu??

I could have sworn I still had the Task Manager Windows menu when I
first went Vista but it's not there now. It's the menu that had restart,
shutdown etc in it. Is it history or is there a trick?

It's history, those options were removed in Vista's task manager.

Kate,
Bottom right-hand corner of start menu has several little icons. The right-most is an arrow pointing to the right.

Click on the arrow.

So if you right click on the task bar you don't see task manager listed in
the pop up box?

When you press Ctrl+Alt+Del in Vista you get a screen with Task Manager as
just one of the options. The options you mention are on that screen now.
