Task Is Not Running on Idle

Hi, Looking for help please. I've just got a brand new laptop wit
Vista. New antivirus software was also purchased and installed. It i
set to run the scan when computer is idle but that's not happening. I
there something that I can do to check my computer's settings to se
that this is allowed cause I'm not sure what else to do to make thi
happen (?). I checked the advanced settings for my antivirus softwar
and it's set to run at 4am but it doesn't and is running now. PS - M
computer/technical knowledge is basic. Thanks in advance

Perhaps the antivirus software maker is the one to ask for help.

What is the name of the anti-virus , and when is the system idle ?
Usually you need a password for the scheduled time .
