Hello

A little while ago my taskbar disappeared. I could not click on the start
button to shut down my pc. I had to turn off at the mains to get going
again.

Can anyone tell me what happened, & how I recover next time it happens ?

Thanks

K

There are several possibilities for why. Here's the most likely:

The task bar is resizable, like a window. You may have accidentally
resized it to zero lines high. Put the cursor on the bottom of the
screen and move it up and down slightly until it turns into a
double-headed arrow. Then click and drag it to the size you want.

If that doesn't work, it may be zero lines high on another side of the
screen, so try on all four sides.

Also it may set to autohide. In that case it will spring into view when the
OP moves the cursor to the bottom (or other edge,as you said).
