taskmanager issues PLZ HELP!

i have vista x64 home premium and when i try to load task manager fro
the windows security screen (ctrl+alt+del) or Ctrl+shift+esc the ico
loads in the system tray but when i hover over it with my mouse i
disappears and the program doesnt launch.. BUT it does work i
safemode.. please if any 1 can help it would be very much appreciated

At your desktop, hold down the windows key, and hold R, when the promp
comes up, type *taskmgr.exe*

Does it load that way

I suspect malware or a virus infection then. Run your anti-virus and se
what it comes up with
