Hi Frank, you shouldn't have to keep cleaning out the datastorage folder to
download updates.
I couldnt get the automatic updates to download immediately after hitting
the install button myself - Possibly because they download at a specific
time which is either set by default or by the user.
What I've done on my computer at home is to set Window auto updates to
notify me and when I receive a noficiation, I check out the WU site to
download any updates (my preference at the moment).
It might have something to do with the WU automatically set to download and
you visiting the update site. Who knows, maybe it's a conflict. I'm not
really sure about that one. Maybe the download actually started in the
background, and then you're trying to manually download the same update.
Clean out the datastorage folder again, set auto updates to notify you only,
reboot, and then check to see if you get the error again when you manually
visit the WU site. At least you can always reset WU if you're not happy to
once again auto download.
