Tech Support and Newsgroups

Does Microsoft have a tiger team, if not the MVPs, that watches these forums
to identify trends from the subject lines? Within this first week of using
this forum I have seen a lot of the same issues over and over.

Not really. VERY occasionally you will get an MS employee posting in these
newsgroups, but it's generally a private thing they do and not official.
No, unless you post in a specific Beta group (I gather MS is monitoring the
IE beta group with the public launch of IE8 Beta) then it's just
peer-to-peer support...

These forums are peer-to-peer that are neither maintained no
officially endorsed by Microsoft. Although you may occasionall
encounter a Microsoft employee

I suppose the possibility does exist however that Microsoft employee
who use these forums have on some level told the support guys a
Microsoft about a particular issue

I say it is a possibility, because some time ago I had a problem with
Gigabyte TV Tuner and Windows Vista Media Center. It took a chance visi
to these forums by an employee of Cyberlink (who provided the softwar
CD that came supplied with the Gigabyte TV Tuner), and within a matte
of hours, a non-tech employee of Cyberlink provided me with the solutio
where there own and Gigabyte's support channels failed
