Hi,
I currently have WXP home Original version and SP1 version CDs that came
with two computers. I want to create new installation CDs so I don't have
to manually reinstall all the updates if I reinstall WXP. I have
successfully used the /integrate switch to manually slipstream SP1 and SP2,
and most updates. Now I want to automate the process by running a script
that will do the integration and use the /log switch wherever possible to
have a record of problems and successes. My problem is that SP2 and some
updates do not allow use of the /log switch.
My question is: Does anyone have a scripting way they can share to determine
what switches an update such as WindowsXP-KB835935-SP2-ENU.exe or
WindowsXP-KB898461-x86-ENU.exe actually support? I guess I need a way to
extract the 'Installer Version' from the .EXE file, but hopefully there is
an easier way, like maybe a string I could search for.
Thanks for any help you can give me
