How to tell how many updates left to download?

Thanks to a remodel, there is now a phone line in my mother's bedroom, and we
are able to hook up her computer to the internet for the first time since
12/15/07. As a result, it's been doing nothing but downloading updates for
the last three days. All I want to know is how can I find out how many
updates are left that it will want to download? The update history only says
which ones have been downloaded, not how many are left to bring the computer
up to date.

Is there a way to tell? This is an XP pro OS. The last successfully
downloaded item was the Genuine Advantage Validation Tool (half an hour ago),
and there have been 43 updates downloaded since we got this computer online
Tuesday afternoon.

Right-click on My Computer | select Properties | What WinXP version is
displayed in the resulting window?
