In IE7, Tools, Internet Options, General, Settings button in the Browsing
History section. That will tell you where it is and allow you to move it,
if needed. (I don't find any Content.IEx folders on my system, yet)

It's a Hidden System folder, (why????) so you'll have to allow viewing such
in Windows Explorer.

Hi Val. No, there's no Content.IEx folder. Press the Windows Key + R on
your keyboard. In the Run box, type, or Copy and Paste this:

%userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temp orary Internet
Files\Content.IE5

Click OK. Also, try this:

%userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temp orary Internet
Files\Low\Content.IE5

The Internet Options view of the Temporary Internet Files is kind if a
virtual combo view of the files in the sub-folders of one or the other above
directories, and the Cookies folder. Yes, it's a hidden, system folder, and
that special "combo" view is due to the hidden, system desktop.ini in that
folder.

Both showed up, but all the temporary folders are empty. Wonder where IE7
stores its downloaded temporary files.

It is not just hidden, it is Super Hidden. You basically have to know
it exists and appaned \content.ie5 to the path manually.

First, and you may already have done this, in Control Panel > Folder
Options, on the View tab, do two things. Choose to "Show hidden files and
folders", and UN-check "Hide protected operating system files
(Recommended)". (Apply, OK).

If the alphanumerically named folders in Content.IE5 contain no files, then
your "real" Temporary Internet Files folder may be elsewhere, and not in the
default path. In the following two keys in the Registry Editor, what is the
Data value for "Cache" (no quotes)?

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders
The default is C:\Users\(YOU)\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Tem porary Internet Files

and

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders
The default is %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temp orary Internet Files
