Temporary Internet Files

I can't delete the temporary internet files from within internet explorer.
If I use the delete files button, the explorer will crash. I can delete them
from within windows explorer though.

Does anyone know what I can do here?

Go to control panel, internet options - can you delete them from there? You
may have a boatload of them so it may take a long time - let it run.

Note that this is a Windows Update newsgroup. Your question would best have
been posted in one for Internet Explorer or your OS version, for future
reference.

Thanks for the note, I will move this to the Explorer section. I tried to
delete them from within the control panel as suggested and received the
following error message

An exception occurred while trying to run
“C:\WINDOWS\system32\shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL
“C:\WINDOWS\system32\inetcpl.cpl�,Internet Options�
